Last Night

No, though that is a good song, it's not today's song. Last night I had this weird dream. I don't remember much, but I know it involved this song and a guy who buys hay for his horses from my dad.
But still, that song isn't today's song. I went downstairs this morning and said to my sister, "Have you heard the new Tokyo Police Club song?" She said, "Yeah." So I says to her, I says, "Isn't it awesome?" And she was all, "It's very Tokyo Police Club." To which I replied, "Exactly!"

'Cause, you know, they're awesome. They're tied for my fourth favourite band.

Oh, and the song is "Wait Up (Boots of Danger)."

End With the End

I'm ending the Week of TV Themes with end credits. You see, "Castle" doesn't really have opening credits; just a seven-second-or-so thing with the name of the show. The end credits o=however, have good music.

A couple of the TV themes in the Week of TV Themes are by bands that people actually know. An example of this convention is "The O.C.,"

Spin-Off

It makes me sad when people my age or (god forbid) older don't know who the Fonz is. And it makes me even sadder when I tell them, and they don't know what "Happy Days" is.
But this isn't about "Happy Days." This is about one of its three spin-offs. My personal favourite of them is "Laverne & Shirley."

Mo-Day

It's the Week of TV Themes!
And as a special Mother's Day treat, I'm starting with a song that just aired its Mother's Day episode, which was called "Moms."
Any guesses? Well, you can probably see it, so I'll just say it: "30 Rock!"
I know, I've already featured "30 Rock." But that was the score. This is the theme song. So take that, as yet undecided opponent!

Protest

According to Kenneth the page from "30 Rock," "99 Luftballons" is Nena's anti-balloon protest song. Yes, anti-balloon. Anyway, luftballon actually mean "air balloon," because in German they say "air balloon," not just "balloon." In the original version, they say nothing about red. But, when it was translated into English, since we don't say "air balloons," they needed another syllable, so they made all the balloons red.


And don't forget: a Week starts tomorrow! I'm excited...

Another Not-a-Weekend

I could do a balloons weekend, but I won't. Now, it took me a while to decide which of the two songs to start with (or with which to start), but I decided on Goldfinger's cover of the song, entitled "99 Red Balloons."

Still Not a Weekend

It's Thursday. Still not a weekend, let alone the Living Weekend in which I would feature "Roll On" by The Living End.

Not a Weekend

I could do a Living Weekend, but I don't feel like it. If I were , though, it would have started with The Living Things and their song "Bom Bom Bom."

It All

It had been a while since I last heard "Ruby Soho." Then, a couple days ago, I heard it again, and I was all, "Oh yeah. That Rancid song."

Late

I forgot to feature a song today until just now, so I'm telling you "Sheep Go to Heaven" by Cake right now. You know, like in the Bible. It's in a metaphor in Revelation.
Anyway,come back in half an hour for tomorrow's song.

Had

I had a story to tell that concerned "Sweet Frown." But it's not that good a story, so I decided not to tell it. And so, my My First Earthquake post will go story-less. Trust me, it's for the better. I think. I don't know. I'm really tired. I don't even remember what the story is.
