A Day After

I didn't post a song yesterday. Maybe I was "Spellbound" by eight hours of Buffy and Angel. BAHAHAHAHA!!! I'm so funny!
No, but seriously. My sister and I watched seasons seven and four for eight hours yesterday. It was fantastic.
Anyway, Doves is the band.

Sunnydale

Imaginary Cities is the band. I tried to think up a good imaginary city -- I arrived at Buffy Summers' hometown of Sunnydale. Because I'm awesome like that.
And I suppose it's fitting. Well, in a very roundabout way, which I will now explain:
Buffy Summers, as the Slayer, spends lots of time in graveyards. Well, in the graveyard in Sunnydale.
Graveyard, also known as cemetery.
In a Hot Hot Heat song, they mention the flowers left in cemeteries for ghosts, but which only the hummingbirds enjoy.
The song I'm featuring is called "Hummingbirds."
There you go. Roundabout connections. Huzzah!

Reminder

Okay, so all the other songs this week have been in chronological order. Today's, however, is not. Today, I am featuring a song from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Not the theme song again, though. No, this song is from Once More, With Feeling. The musical episode.

That's right.
My sources tell me that Joss Whedon spent six months writing it, as he had never before written music.
It's pretty awesome.


And it kind of reminds me of the reprise of "Tonight" from West Side Story. I think it's all the walking.

All Things

I love all things Joss Whedon. Therefore, I am having a week. One of the five-day ones, obviously. It's called the Joss Whedon Week. I've been looking forward to doing it for some time; and now it's finally here!!!!
I'm starting us off with the theme song from his earliest show: Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Such an amazing show! I'm currently on season six, and once I get home (in less than a month), I can resume watching. I can't wait!
I've even begun compiling a list of my favourite episodes -- a list which I intend to share over on Scoop Out My Brain once I finish the series.
